Japanese Climber Dead, Partner Plucked From N.Z. Peak (Update1) (Bloomberg)
Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) — A Japanese climber is dead after being caught in the open during a snow storm on New Zealand’s highest mountain. The body of mountain guide Kiyoshi Ikenouchi, 49, of Tokyo, was airlifted from Aoraki/Mount Cook by a search and rescue team early today.
